MICANITE PRODUCTS
Micanite is a built up Mica based products,
which is manufactured from thin splitted best quality Muscovite Ruby Mica
with varnish binder for different class of insulation to withstand various
temperatures ranges.
APPLICATION OF
MICANITE PRODUCTS:
It is used in mechanical and thermal washers and gasket for high temperature
electrical insulating application. For low tension motors, high tension
motors and traction motors, high temperature commutater
segment, spacers and winding cards in toaster, heaters and heating elements,
thermal barriers, electromagnets and in various high temperature
applications.
MICA BONDED WASHERS
Mica Bonded washers
are consist of Mica and Shellac resin. Mica washers are punched from muscovite
mica in specific size and bond with shellac and machine finish into sizes and
thickness as per customers specifications. Bonded washers mechanical and
electrical strength are very good.

Flexible micanite
-
This is the name given to a wide range of insulating
materials built from mica, which are used for cold wrapping of insulators.
Flexible micanite is available in a wide range of thickness, with either
shellac or silicone bond.

Moulding micanite Sheet
-
-
A more rigid insulating
material incorporating built mica splitting with a high level of shellac
binder. Moulding micanite may be formed or wrapped warm and will harden on
cooling. Its main applications are
for decorative Mica lamp shades.

Heat Resisting micanite
Sheets
-
-
Manufactured from specially selected
splittings, incorporating a low level shellac binder. This gives a rigid
material, which can be punched or cut to shape. Heat resisting Micanite is
often used as an insulator in applications where the binder is decomposed
at the operating temperature, which leaves only the mica insulation in
place. Under such circumstances the mica must be firmly supported by
sheathing or cladding.
